"Growing Pains" - Human Resource System
A BCP Client with 12 locations across the United States hired a new Human Resource Manager and COO. The new team wanted our help with an initial assessment of their current back office and benefit program situation. We found out through due diligence that there were inconsistencies in most of the locations on hiring, terminating and communicating, thus creating compliance issues, terminated employees still on benefits. We solved these issues by implementing the Human Resource Information System so that all elements of an employee go through a single point of contact in real-time. Our COBRA Administration solved the issues of whether letters went out and premiums were collected on time.
"A tumultuous departure" - COBRA Administration
One of our clients has been utilizing our COBRA Administration System and received a call from the Department of Labor regarding a complaint filed by a terminated employee.εΚ The employee filed a complaint stating that their medical coverage was terminated for no reason.εΚ Upon further investigation, the DOL found that the COBRA Systems were accurate; the former employee had failed to pay the premiums on time, thus, the DOL complaint was dropped.
